Just call me "Clarabell"

       I want to sincerely Thank You for taking the time to visit my "About Me" page. Despite being a "Platinum Powerseller" who maintains a "Detailed Seller Rating" score in the top 1% of Powersellers worldwide, I am still able to maintain a very normal family life outside of cyberspace.

      My real name is Clara meaning "clear". Clarabell is the name I was teased with when I was younger. You may remember "Clarabell the Clown" from the Howdy Doody Show or if you are closer to my age, the Disney cartoon character "Clarabell the Cow". I never thought I resembled a cow, but I guess the name-calling just went along with being a kid. As I grew up, my close friends and family used it as a "term of endearment" and now all of my cyberspace friends use it to greet me. Even my 2 year old son, Elijah, calls me "Mommie Care-wa-beal". So I welcome your questions, inquiries or just a simple "Hello" and of course you may call me, Clarabell.

       Starting a business on eBay was a product of neccessity after I moved from the US Virgin Islands to Lake Tahoe, Ca. to start a family. I grew up in rural Maine and lived in very small towns my whole life. I just got used to making due with what was available locally. But when our son Elijah was born, I realized that there were many things he needed and the 2 high-priced grocery stores in town were hardly the place to shop. I could drive 70 miles over the Sierras with a newborn only to pay sales tax, gasoline expense, membership fees at the big box store as well as waste a whole day. I knew there were other families out there that were in the same situation as we were. We had been ebay members since 2001, but only dabbled with selling. After all, we worked full time for a well known international disaster relief organization, and rarely had time off from traveling.

     I set out with my idea and a customer service philosophy that would create loyal customers that return again and again, by:

• offering knowledgeable product information through first hand use.
• exceeding all expectations in the handling time of a package, because of the time sensitive nature of my products.
• offering only freshly dated, 1st run, factory sealed products that I would be happy to receive as well.
• maintaining "Free Shipping" in at least 95% of my listings
• and most importantly, giving you the personalized service on a first name basis that is nearly impossible to find on the web.
