Most of our collector models come from the personal collection of my father who has them on exhibit in The Model Museum in West Allis, Wisconsin. My dad began collecting plastic models and pace cars during the 1960s. At the same time, he began to sell discontinued models at half price at flea markets. To my dad's surprise, he discovered that discontinued car and truck models were actually more popular and collectible than those which were recently released. Because of his success with collector kits, that became the focus of his business. He opened a store in the 1960's which is still operated by my family. The Model Museum is housed within the store. I grew up learning about models and actively participating in the hobby. Desire for increasingly accurate models, down to the last detail has led to the development of detailing parts and materials including: resin bodies, photo-etch parts, pre-wired distributers, accurately matched model paint, decals and other items for the modeler. Slot cars and diecast cars have also become increasingly popular. Many of these items can be found in our ebay store along with collector's models. Because we understand and appreciate car collectors' attention to detail, all of our models are carefully checked for completeness, rated for condition of box and accurately described for content and condition. Boxes are rated as follows: mint, near mint, excellent, very good, good, ok, fair or poor.
Cars in the United States have had a major effect on our culture and economy. Just think back to the first cars, the development of the assembly line, hot rods, teenagers in the '50's and the drive-in, muscle cars... When buying our collector models, you are actually purchasing a slice of American history and culture.
