PICK AND SLIDE MUSIC
MUSICAL BACKGROUND

I have over 40 years experience as a player/collector of musical instruments. I have played a variety of styles, including Rock, Country, Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz, Marching band, Concert bands, Pep bands & others. I have played in bands ranging from a 24 piece jazz band to a solo act. My main instruments are saxophone, guitar, vocals & both square neck & round neck resonator guitars. Needless to say, I am no expert on any one instrument or any one style of playing.

In the short time frame that I have been playing resonator guitars, I have been fortunate to meet many top professional players & builders. I have acquired resoator setup training throuh seminars, videos, researh & one-on-one instruction. My knowledge base includes ongoing input from the world's best builders, including Mark Taylor, Tim Scheerhorn, Paul Beard, Abe Wechter, Gene Wooten & others. I have completed dozens of reso setups and pickup installations on both round & square necks.

On a non-musical note, I have worked in a variety of fields from swinging a 10 pound spiking hammer on the railroad to directing high profile legal, compliance & quality programs in hospitals and other health care settings.
