ComputerCorps is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit social enterprise founded in 1997 and based in Carson City, Nevada. We are dedicated to recycling computer-related equipment and improving computer skills and job opportunities for underserved and disadvantaged individuals communities and other organizations.
OUR GOALS
RECYCLE
Provide individuals, businesses, community organizations and government agencies with a local recycling center for obsolete and discarded computers and related technology.
Recycle unusable parts, metals in order to reduce landfill waste, reduce operational costs and generate revenue to support ComputerCorps programs.
REFURBISH
Refurbish, repair, and upgrade computers, printers and monitors.
Provide repair services to economically disadvantaged individuals and organizations.
Sell refurbished computers, printers and related technology through our retail
outlet and eBay auctions to generate revenue to support ComputerCorps community service programs.
REUSE
Provide computer equipment at little or no cost to underserved and economically disadvantaged individuals, organizations and schools.
Train underserved and economically disadvantaged individuals in basic and intermediate computer skills.
Provide community service opportunities for volunteers to assist in the refurbishment of computers and training of others.
Develop opportunities for community sponsorship to increase the range and diversity of ComputerCorps programs.
