I was a designer for many years. I decided to start Cookbook Village after years of collecting with my wife. I have literally gone to hundreds of estate sales, flea markets and book stores helping my wife carry and purchase bags full of cookbooks. At some point I realized I looked forward to these shopping days as I too was hooked. Anyway, when our spare bedroom was in danger of being taken over by all of her cookbooks, my wife decided I could sell them... thus, Cookbook Village was born. Even though she will no longer get to keep the books, she can vicariously "collect" by finding these treasures for the store.
