Hi all,
My primary collectible is Ty Sports Commemoratives, but Bobbleheads are now entering the picture! If you have a question
regarding any of these Commemoratives feel free to email and I will share what
I know. We (the wife and I...more the wife) have toured the U.S. ballpark to ballpark. I would venture to guess that running a close 2nd to the commissioner
of baseball is my wife when it comes to visiting the most MLB diamonds not to mention the NBA,WNBA,NHL and NFL. Let me tell you, its a little bit disheartening when watching games on TV and my wife of all people (non-sports nut) constantly spouts out: "I've been there, they got a neat...." (change the channel) "Oh been there too!...Did I tell you about their..." I think you get the picture.
Anyway this gives everyone a little background and assurance that all these items actually came from these places. I constantly get the bewildered comment:
"How did you guys (living in central Illinois) get all these cards?!" Also because we went to these places ourselves they haven't been thru many peoples hands and when described as mint they are just that. Also sometime in 1998 collectors liked to have the ticket stub of the particular game so in most cases ticket stubs are included. 1997 and early 1998 commemoratives are uncommon to have ticket stubs since it wasn't part of the collectible and collectors hadn't wanted them yet. So if you are fortunate enough to find an early commemorative with a ticket stub it is surely to increase its value.
Here is my complete list; of which is the most comprehensive I've found to date, of Ty Sports Collectibles: (if you know of any not on the list please email)
