A Little About Me I'm an artist, musician, writer, fashionista and occasional muse. ![]() Buying I have a passion for Lucite Purses, Mid-Century Modern Designer Furnishings and Accessories, Vintage Mexican Circle Skirts, Vintage 1940s Rayon Print Dresses, 1930's White Metlox Figural Pottery and Metlox California Mobile Dinnerware. I am always looking to buy these items when they are in pristine condition. Selling I am a packrat by nature and have been collecting for many years. I love to sell on eBay, mostly to support my buying habit! I sell a wide variety of designer and vintage items --- from clothing and accessories to pottery and furnishings. I have met so many wonderful collectors from around the US via my selling efforts. Most of my auctions have no reserve, so you have the chance to pick up a bargain. I am very particular about items and try to do a very thorough job at describing them accurately. Because of this, and since eBay is a hobby and not a business for me, I only take returns if an item arrives in significantly different condition than as described. Condition My clothing items are gently used unless stated otherwise. I take great pains to describe condition and any flaws. Items are spot-cleaned if necessary, but generally sold and described in "as found" condition. Used clothing has had a previous life, so please keep this in mind particularly with vintage clothing that may have been worn and/or stored for decades. Colors Colors display differently depending on individual computer monitors. I always hold the garment up to my monitor to make sure I have captured a photo that matches the garment. HOWEVER, my monitor may not be the same as yours. Please keep this in mind. If a specific color is an important issue (eg: you look fabulous in blush pink but bashful pink makes you look sallow or you're trying to match a garment already in your wardrobe), please take care in bidding as we don't accept returns based on color incompatibility. Measurements and Sizing I take great pains to provide a wide variety of measurements for every garment I sell --- modern or vintage. The garment industry has regularly overhauled sizing so it's important to stress that a size printed on the label of a grament is not always the best indication that it will fit. So to accurately judge if an item will fit, you must rely on the measurements I include for each garment. The best way to determine if something will fit is to take a similar garment from your wardrobe that fits you perfectly, lie it flat and measure carefully across in the following places. Then double that measurement: Bust - below the armpits, across the front of the garment Waist - natural waist at the bottom of your rib cage Hips - about 10" lower than the natural waist, and across the garment side to side Shoulders - from the top of one shoulder seam across to the other. Sleeves - from the top of the sleeve where it meets the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff Length - from the top of the shoulder seam mid-shoulder all the way down to the hem. Inseam - from the crotch seam all the way down the leg to the hem, on the inside of the pants leg Rise - from the top of the waistband, all the way down the center front to the crotch seam. ![]() With your own measurements in hand, compare the measurements of the garment you are interested in bidding on with your own measurements to ensure a perfect fit. Make sure to account for ease of movement in the garment. For instance, if your body measures a 36 bust, you will need a more generous measurement as measured lying flat. This is why it is important to compare to a garment in your own closet. Shipping I ship via insured Priority Mail in the US and charge actual shipping. All packages are insured and have delivery confirmation. When possible, clothing items are packed in Tyvek envelopes to save you shipping costs. Please be aware that items may wrinkle during shipment and may need to be pressed or steamed upon arrival. For my international customers, I usually ship via International Priority Mail. Other Important Stuff This is a non-smoking household, but keep in mind the vast majority of our items are used, and we can't guarantee where they've been prior to us acquiring them. Additionally, some postal employees actually smoke in their trucks and around packages. I've seen a carrier in my neighborhood doing it --- ugh! I make every effort to describe items accurately, including any smells I detect, but please keep the above information in mind if you're highly allergic or highly sensitive to smoke. I do have a few furry critters in residence as well, but they are not allowed in our eBay room. But contrary to what some of my friends and family might tell you, the humans do occasionally leave the eBay room and roam the rest of the house. :) I make every attempt to keep exposure to a minimum. However, just like with smoking, I can't guarantee what these items were exposed to prior to their acquisition. So if you're highly allergic or the occasional spare pet hair would bother you, please keep this in mind. ![]() |
