ABOUT ME?  At almost 80 years of age there is a lot to tell!

     Where to start? First off, let's discuss what I hate about buying and selling - and what we do in my store that may be different. If someone buys something it should be shipped as soon as money is received. I do that, I try very hard to ship something the day it is paid, if I can't do that the day after - to have to wait a week for something to be shipped will never happen if you buy from me. Waiting a week to ship something to me is not nice.

     Another hate of mine is communication, if someone asks a question it should be answered as soon as possible. O. K. at the age of 79 there are a few times I have to visit doctors, stuff like that, so it will be a few hours, however usually I will answer any question with in minutes. I love hearing from customers and friends and help all I can. So give me a message any time you have a thought.

     Why did I start an eBay jewelry store? Well---first off, I have to admit I love looking at beautiful ladies. Hey, I married a beauty queen, the 1948 May Queen of Poly High School in central Los Angeles, she was not only the May queen but one of three honor students out of almost 2,500 kids at the school. How a dumb football jock like me got so lucky to marry beauty and brains is the 8^th wonder of the world. We have been married now for 59 years and she is just as beautiful now as she was then, at least to me.

     When you admire beauty and ladies with beautiful things you have to love jewelry. A beautiful emerald ring, a ruby, CZ diamond ring on the hand of a lovely lady enhances both the lady and her fingers. Same with a bracelet or a necklace that will rest in the valley of --- anyway you know what I mean! Beauty in a lovely woman and beautiful jewelry, costume jewelry or real diamonds, it makes no difference, beauty enhances beauty.

Since I can't golf, boat, fish, tennis much anymore why not have an eBay jewelry store? I have the funds to do so - the so-called buying power and by using my home office and garage shelves I have absolutely no overhead, I can compete with anyone and have the lowest prices, so why not! Yes, it is nice to have another source of income but not a necessity.

     O. K. back to me! I was a depression baby, born in 1929. My Dad came over from Denmark in 1914 because his father had read that there were gold bricks in the streets of San Francisco.  Dad soon found out that was a spoof!  Mom was from Wisconsin.  In high school I was the co-captain of our football team, a hotshot running back. My senior class of 333 students also elected me their S-1947 senior class president. This does not say much for their judgement but sure helped my ego!

     After high school I spent a year on active duty in the U. S. Army (six more years in the reserve), you could do that in those days. Then I attended the University of Southern California (USC) and have been a Trojan fan ever since. I majored in business and accounting. I also wrote a fun book about my army life, about half fiction and half-real life.

     I ran our three family corporations for almost fifty years, we were importers and distributors of European foodstuff and wines and beer - many of the imported brands of beers, now selling on the market today - were first introduced to the U. S. market by my companies.

     On retiring, being bored I started an Internet site called 'Uncle Fred's Internet investment Underground.' All I wanted was a few others interested in stock to share ideas with. It exploded to well over 3,000 members and I eventually had to give it up - as it was taking every waking hour, not sharing ideas, but me explaining to new investors how to invest in stocks and make money.

     After giving it up I wrote a book called "Making money is simple - Just boring!" About a simple, easy, math equation, a method of evaluating stocks that could be done by a child, the method is guaranteed to make you money. I could not get anyone to publish it so I did so myself and sold it on the Internet. A firm called Investment Systems Inc. in Florida that had developed the amazing software that will do the system in seconds asked if I would do a monthly stock research letter and I agreed we called it 'Chipping from the rough!' I did that for many years, until at the age of 78 the pressure of a monthly deadline was just no fun anymore so I begged to get out of it.

     The executives at Investment Systems have been wonderful, they understood but did not want our relationship to end, so they suggested a BLOG. There I could make comments, whenever I wanted. I or my friends, or any one that wants to can talk about any subject they want. It is a ball, I hope any of you reading this will take a peak and join us, it is free, say and discuss anything you want. I love it, we decided to call the BLOG the same name as the stock research letter I did for years - "CHIPPING FROM THE ROUGH!" The Internet address is below in my favorite sites.

     So there you have it, the long and the short of it, I should mention that along the way, Sally, my beauty queen and I had two wonderful boys, and have a sweet daughter in law to boot. I have kept many of my friends from high school over a half century ago and picked up a few dozen more best of buddies in life's travels. I believe this world is truly a wonderful place, full of wonderful people. Sometimes you just have to reach out your hand to them first so they know you are a friend, if you do that they will respond. My friends are of every color and race and religion - and I consider each a blood brother, God made us the way we are, we should respect that and love what we are and those that love us.
