About Us:

Retro World was founded in 2008 by Mike and Jo as a part time venture buying and selling classic computer games on ebay.  The business was set up initially to generate extra funds to help pay for our wedding in October 2009.  We have now got married but have enjoyed selling through ebay so much we have decided to continue with it!

We both share a passion for video games both new and old.  We are both in our early 30s and grew up playing video games on most of the major consoles of the 90s onwards.  Our favourite consoles are the Super Nintendo (SNES), the Sega Mega Drive and the Nintendo 64 (N64).  But we also like newer consoles as well like the Playstation, Wii, Xbox etc.

Aside from computer games, we have a number of other interests, including football, tennis, golf, reading, travel and model railways!

 

What We Sell:

Our primary business is selling computer games and consoles on ebay.  We sell games for just about any console/computer/handheld from the early Spectrum’s to today’s consoles.  However, we tend to specialize in selling Sega and Nintendo games for consoles like the Mega Drive, Master System, Dreamcast, NES, SNES and N64.

Our stock is constantly changing so make sure to keep checking our auctions for new items.

Our Commitment to a Fast and Efficient Customer Service:

We pride ourselves on offering a fast and friendly service to our buyers.  We will:
  • Answer any questions relating to an item we are selling promptly (usually the same day)
  • Aspire to ship your item the next working day 
  • Combine shipping costs and offer shipping discounts where possible
  • Advise customers when your item has been shipped, including tracking details where applicable
  • Leave ositive feedback for our buyers once payment has been received and before we have received feedback from you
  • Aim to resolve any complaints in a quick and efficient manner.  We issue full refunds for items that are lost in the post

 

Shipping Details:

We send the majority of our items using Royal Mail (first class post for UK, or Airmail for overseas).  For larger items such as consoles or multiple item purchases, we will often use a courier such as DHL or Parcelforce and a tracked service.

With all but the heaviest items we sell, we are able to send our items worldwide.  We always pack our items very carefully to ensure your item arrives with you in the same condition as described on the auction.
