furled leader

My nickname is Crawdad.  I live in El Dorado (imaginary city of gold?) Kansas.  During one of my flyfishing club meetings, yes we do fly fish in Kansas, I was taught how to make Furled tapered leaders for fly fishing.  From that point on I have not been able to let it rest.  I work every day at making leaders.  I have researched, practiced and dreamed about making leaders and making them better.  About the time I think I can't do any better job of making them, I see a small inperfection and then the process starts all over again.  I love to get reports back of fishing and especially catching. 

One of the best features of my leaders (besides being hand made by me and only me. HA!) is the loop at either end.  These loops are actually a part of the leader.  They make changing tippet material or even changing furled leaders very simple with loop to loop knots.  It makes that late evening hatch much more enjoyable when you break off your tippet and need to quickly put a new one on.  Even us older, vision impared individuals can get back to fishing quickly.

About the only thing better than "Fly fishing" is my family.  In the second picture you can see my youngest son in the forground and my oldest in the far end.  I am in the middle.  This is a little state park in south west Missouri that my family has been going to for about 20 years.  It is our special little get away.

EBAY is an awesome place to be.  I have made several friends with similar interests. Mike Brown in Southern California.  The  Greenish looking brook trout in my listing is his catch.  Mike only fishes "HIGH ALTITUDE", and I mean High.  Ted Hudson and John Maio are custom rod builders.  Paul McDonald fishes out of Canada, The large trout being held in my listing pictures is Paul's brother.  Well these are just some of the friends i have made.  There are too many to list here in this short space.  All of you that i didn't mention, no offense is intended.  I just needed to express my feelings toward EBAY and the system of trust and friendship that is built here.  Thanks to all of you I get to sell to and buy from and thanks EBAY for providing and maintaining this system.   Crawdad
