Bienvenidos Amigos and Welcome Friends! From Cindy Carrasco-Valencia of Your Mexican Market.  Born and raised in Dallas, I am the middle child of two Mexican-born immigrants.  My life is a VERY good example of what two hard-working parents can accomplish after coming to Texas to make a life for themselves and give their children opportunities they never had.  I currently hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and am in the process of taking the LSAT so I can attend law school.  I am fortunate enough to be married to a wonderful man and have the most gorgeous two-year-old twins, Charisma and Seth.  My brother and my sister have been very successful too.  My brother is the proud father of three beautiful children, and he also runs the family business.  My sister served 7 years in the United States Navy, and I have never been prouder of both.

Although I was born in Texas, there are still traditions that have been dear to me since I was a little girl.  While my mother never quite taught me how to make homemade tortillas as a child (she blamed the fact that I was left-handed!), I did eventually learn when I was older.  She has taught me how to cook traditional meals as well as really appreciate our culture.  My father taught me to love Mexican music and to always remember that it’s never a “real” party until the Mariachis arrive.  I love both my parents so much and feel so grateful for all their hard work and sacrifice so their children would never be in need.  “Family above all” is the refrain in all our hearts.  And WOW, we have a huge family at that!

HOW THIS STORE BEGAN:
Almost a year ago my parents and brother went into business together and opened a Mexican grocery store called Norteña Meat Market in Dallas.  The popular market sells everything from the nonperishable food items that you’ll find in this online store, to fajita meat.  There is also a deli where you can sample homemade authentic dishes like fajita tacos, carnitas, chicharrones, and so much more!

A few months ago, my brother and I had the idea of selling nonperishable items to people who don’t have the same access to Mexican products that we do, or people who just love to shop online and have things delivered right to their door.  And so began this eBay store.

As you can imagine, there is so much to choose from out there, it’s hard to know where to start.  We try to offer the most popular products that are used in everyday life for a Hispanic family, but if you don’t see something you’re looking for, send us an e-mail and we will do our best to find it for you.

We are planning many exciting additions in the next few months, and the best way to keep up is to subscribe to our monthly newsletter. We will keep you posted on new products we are offering, and will also feature cooking tips, recipes, and customer feedback.
