For many, knitting is a hobby - a way to keep fingers busy, and create gifts for friends and loved ones. But for Sharon, owner of Creative Knitworks, knitting is a calling, a way of life, and what gives her the power to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Sharon left a career in the finance industry and opened Creative Knitworks in 2006. "Knitting has been a dream of mine forever and I just pursued what I loved. Sharon has since began a program called "Keeping Kidz Warm," to make hand knitted garments for the needy children of Bergen County, New Jersey. Now, every other Thursday at Creative Knitworks is charity knitting night, and customers and students can donate the fruits of their labors to area charity groups.

My customers all agree that my store is a great place to meet friends,talk about yarns, sit and knit and discuss current issues. You will also find a vast array of beautiful knitting and crocheting yarns along with supplies and accessories. My store also offers a full schedule of classes on knitting and crocheting for all skill levels, and we have a full staff to assist you in all your knitting endeavors.

Creative Knitworks has now moved to a bigger and brighter store in Westwood, NJ. I am now in the process of expanding my hobby to become a complete fiber arts experience. I will be adding a full service online store, Needlepoint, Spinning and I will be expanding my yarn lines to better serve my loyal customers and friends.
