Welcome to Walnut Creek Yarn Company!.....creeksoon's place!Glad to see you! Thanks for stopping by to check me out! Hope I can answer a few questions about me from any of my faithful (& FUN!!) shoppers!Beginning of Walnut Creek Yarn Company
Just a few tidbits of info on my beginnings!Originally began on Ebay, selling remaining inventory of my mother's yarns, crafts, and other items from her ~Valley Bazaar~ yarn & knitting machine(PASSAP) sales shop in Indianapolis, Indiana. I had been dealing with several of my mothers' main suppliers the last few years of her business, as her health failed. Started ordering more, winding my new yarns onto cones & supplementing her inventory, with newly purchased yarns. Enjoyed Ebay so much, I continued at a steady growing pace, until the September 11th tragedy. That disaster, simply took the desire and "wind out of me". Coupled with moving into my permanent residence, 50 miles West of Indianapolis, on the banks of Big Walnut Creek (sometimes a BIG river!) Still have 'my little piece of Heaven'-here on earth, but am living full-time, back in Indy at my old family homestead.After 9-11, it took me over a year to return to Ebay. After 6 months of vintage items & antique selling, I returned to my real "love"- Yarns!! (As with many of you folks, my ' love affair ' with yarns was nurtured by my wonderful, one-of-a-kind mother! ) After my retirement in November 2002, it evolved into 'playing with beautiful yarns all day'. Hope to keep all my motivating & inspiring shoppers in yarn & fiber needs, for as long as I am able! Thank you to all of you, that have made Ebaying a FUN adventure for me!!AND may the best woman win! (You all know that contest?) Whoever dies with the most yarn, wins!!!
