Jenny Salsini Primitive Folk Art is my passion. I have a special love of the old portraits. My portraits are handpainted and should last over 100 years. Most are painted on wood and should be around long after we are gone! I use acrylics because they dry so fast. Many years ago I painted with oils. I found it hard to wait for them to dry before moving on to my next step. I paint most of my paintings in a day, unless it is an intricate farm or Noah's Ark or a Peaceable Kingdom. I am a self taught painter. I live in Michigan. I have one daughter and two grandsons ages 8 and 5. I retired last year, so I now paint full time. I have been painting on and off for over 40 + years.
