Yup - those safety glasses are a big hit at parties

| First, thanks for visiting my "About Me" page - I really appreciate it. You're either really bored at work or genuinely interested in who I am or what I'm doing on Ebay. I'm a bead collector - I've been one since my Grandmother had to take care of me as a little kid and taught me how to sort beads for her. We'd go to flea markets in Baltimore City together looking for them and I'd be the cute little kid so she got better deals. She was a smart lady :) Anyway, that's when I first started to appreciate beads and all of the things made with them. Amazing little things they are - little bits of art and history, little pieces of someone's story. I collect vintage and antique glass beads, especially Venetian glass when I can find or afford it, I design with the seed beads, and because of my addiction to glass I've been making my own glass beads on a dual-fuel torch for the past few years. |

A lampwork glass bead that I'm forming in the torch

I create the lampwork glass beads (and on rare occasion, sculptures) in my studio in Manchester, Maryland. They're all made from Effetre Italian soft glass and every one of them is unique. I couldn't make two the same if I tried (that's why I rarely make beads for earrings!) I love my animals, especially birds and fish, so they are often the subject of the beads. Every bead is annealed for long life in a kiln, and cleaned by hand to get rid of that annoying bead release in the centers. So whether you're looking for old glass beads for a collection or a project, or for some rather entertaining lampwork, keep an eye on my auctions. And thanks - folks like you make Ebay a lot more fun :)
