BUYERS MUST READ THE FINE PRINT!
Every effort will be made to expedite your purchases, but I am no longer able to ship 6 days a week as mentioned in most of my listings. Also, as of May 14, 2007 the USPS increased their rates. Therefore, some of the shipping options are different. Please request an invoice when you are finished.
Read this if you want to know why you should buy/sell to/from me:
I am an adult collector. My descriptions are honest. If you feel a description is inaccurate, please let me know! I don’t rip people off on shipping. I ship fast, usually the next day. I know my products. I have several years of shipping AND customer service experience. I have been on eBay since 4-21-2000. I do have a full time job. I am doing this for fun. I have a store in lieu of running live auctions because it’s easier to manage, not to mention cheaper. When I do run live auctions, they will usually end on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I ALWAYS COMBINE SHIPPING WITH ITEMS FROM MY STORE AND LIVE AUCTIONS! I don't include any fancy frivolities; just an honest description, an actual picture, and no BS. I'm doing this for fun, as my hobby. I'm not a business, I am a real person who loves, collects, and now sells all sorts of diecast and other vehicles, specializing in 57 Chevy’s. I am in the top 3 or 4 sellers with the largest selection of 57 Chevy’s for sale on eBay. I'm an adult, but I'm still a kid at heart. =) Most of the cars I’m selling are from my own collection. Some are from lots I have purchased. All descriptions are honest and contain as much information as I know.
(Although, now I get much more enjoyment out of NOT opening up my toys =) )
Why are you selling this stuff?
I have been accumulating diecast cars and other stuff for some time and it's time to sell off some of my duplicates. If it’s a 57 Chevy and I have it listed, it is because I already have one (or two…or ten......)
I’m just a working stiff like many of you. I don’t have a fancy store, expensive overhead. If a listing is unclear to you, please ask! I’m a librarian by trade - I like answering questions! I can and will help you! Just “Ask Seller A Question”!
GUARANTEE!
Item(s) in the picture(s) is/are the exact item(s) in this auction unless otherwise noted. I don't ever use stock photos, I always take my own. The only time I use the same picture more than once is when I have multiples of the same item for sale. Even then, I will usually save the best for last, just so you know. I also ship everywhere 6 days a week. Please note: I stop working at 6pm Sunday and 8pm the rest of the week. Payments received for orders after those times (in Central US Time) will be processed the next day and ship the following day!
Mint vs. Near Mint
I will generally not list anything as mint. A factory sealed car inside of a 10 pack of Hot Wheels Kar Keepers, for example, would be considered MOMC or mint on mint card. Mint means removed from assembly line with rubber gloves and immediately encased in carbonite! =) (Ok, A little Star Wars meets the Comic Book Guy from the Simpson's humor) For all intents and purposes near mint and mint are meant to be the same thing. I use near mint because I don't have the time or inclination to sit there with a jewelers eyepiece (or the eyesight, or a jeweler’s eyepiece…) and look for microscopic flaws. Unless the description says otherwise, then consider it to be of collector quality.
I have and appreciate a good sense of humor. It’s not always (or ever?) politically correct or I’d show you some sellers and items that are hilariously overpriced, but I am prevented from listing them here. Let’s just say that I have seen the same items that I have for sale listed at 200% to 2000% more (two thousand percent more!) than I have them listed for. I use a price guide, personal experience, and slightly less than how much I would pay (or have paid!) for what I sell if I needed to buy one.
Errors vs. Damage vs. Variations
All cars that are sealed, unopened, or "on the card" are mint. (Assuming nobody has stepped or sat on it). If there is factory sealed damage to a particular car, then these cars are "errors" and are more valuable to collectors. Sometimes they have the wrong or mismatched wheels; sometimes they are missing parts, motors, etc. Sometimes the card says one vehicle, but a different vehicle is inside. These are all considered errors.
To be considered a variation (and not an error) a car must exist in sufficient quantities, which, of course, is highly subjective.
What is a cardboard collector?
I collect loose and carded vehicles. When I buy carded hot wheels (or anything in the package), then the condition of the package is important to me, because I DON'T INTEND TO OPEN IT! Many collectors, including myself, take carded vehicles and immediately encase them in carbonite...er...protecto packs! Now, having said that, my reason for doing so is because I want a loose and carded model of each one I collect. This will probably take me the rest of my life, but it keeps me out of trouble. Besides, ebaying is a lot of fun! So, a cardboard collector is a rather derogatory term (right Aaron?) for those of us who endeavor to purchase unopened (and un-punched, right Nate?) vehicles and keep them captive...er...on the card! The cardboard without the car attached is worthless (however, there are a few exceptions).
Got questions?
ASK SELLER A QUESTION!
If you would like specific information on any of the cars, please use the "Ask seller a question" feature. If there is any serious damage, I will try to list it above. Actual product will be as good as - if not better than - described in first paragraph of the description. Please read, understand and ask questions. I WILL NOT DO RETURNS OR REFUNDS unless I have grossly misrepresented something (which is unlikely to happen) OR there was damage during shipping AND Insurance was purchased.
Got pictures?
I also have hi-res photos for all of my items. I can send them to you if you like. Ask seller a question and include your email address. People rarely take me up on that, but please, if you've made it this far, ASK!!!
I will always combine shipping unless it is unsafe to do so, or says otherwise in the description. My shipping costs have ALWAYS been the ACTUAL shipping cost plus $1 handling (per box, NOT per item!) for domestic orders and $2 handling for international orders. Insurance on domestic orders is ALWAYS at cost. I am so tired of sellers with rip off shipping charges. You buyers that don't do much selling should also realize that even $1 handling WILL NOT cover a seller's time OR supplies OR packaging materials OR tape, etc.
Want to know who is ripping YOU off?
All USPS prices can be found here:

(I bet that just pisses those dishonest sellers off!)
Tired of sellers that are LIARS? So am I! If you pay for Priority Mail, I WILL SHIP PRIORITY MAIL!
No hidden B.S.!
No $5.00 charge for an 87 cent first class envelope EVER!
Buyer pays ACTUAL SHIPPING plus $1.00 handling.
*Non US transactions are subject to a $2.00 handling charge*
(Please use “request total from seller” for multiple purchases)
~AND~
Priority Mail Includes: FREE Tracking & FREE Delivery Confirmation!
While we’re on the subject…
DID YOU KNOW?
All of the Priority Mail boxes I use are FREE from USPS?
Delivery Confirmation is FREE only when you use the eBay checkout system and PayPal? Why other sellers would rather pay more AND CHARGE YOU MORE for DC is beyond me...
I’ve had people mail stuff to me in a CEREAL box and brand new MOMC cars in an envelope?!?!?
I WILL ~NEVER~ do that to you!!!!!!
All items come from a smoke free, pet free, and COCKROACH FREE home. I hate to have to mention that, but you would not believe what I got in a package from a seller the other day. A cockroach! Suffice it to say, cockroaches are NOT acceptable packing materials...sheesh...the nerve of some sellers.
I am going to have to keep changing the fine print every time something weird happens?
I have a weird sense of humor too, in case you couldn't tell.
(I really did find a cockroach in a package I received though, I'm just glad it was dead)
...and while we're on the subject, let me add that I will NEVER:
Ship your items in a plain unpadded envelope...
Ship your items in an empty cereal box or other flimsy, worthless box...
I find these practices unconscionable and unthinkable.
I will only ship a carded hot wheel in a padded mailer only when asked to.
If you want to save money, I will open and ship carded vehicles LOOSE if you want me to; especially for international sales, otherwise, I pack very safely to protect the cards. It ends up weighing more which can be expensive to ship. It will make me cry a little to open up and touch these virgin cars, but I will open them and ship them loose if you want me to. I'll do about anything for the customer. The customer is always right!

(and ask about cruesin57's "Custom Feedback" Option! ;-)
Note: "CHEVYLAND" is a trademark of Felix (a.k.a. five7chevyman). He is a good friend of mine and an all-around good guy!
I am a serious 57 Chevy collector, and here's how I am defining "serious" in this context. If you've ever paid more than $100.00 for a single Hot Wheel and felt like you got a deal, then you are a serious Hot Wheel collector! (or you just might be a redneck?)
(Felix, Aaron, Sarge, Tim, Tom, Nate, Nate...the rest of you know who you are J )
That may sound strange to new people (it used to sound strange to me too) but believe me, certain cars sell for even more.
Most of the 57's I'm selling are duplicates. Some are standard issue and some are collectable and ALL will be described honestly and priced accordingly.
Most of my eBay experience has been as a buyer, so I know what I want from a seller, and will do my best to provide excellent customer service to you.
(did he just say excellent customer service?)

Payment & Shipping
I will do EVERYTHING in my power to ship immediately after I receive payment.
If you can't or don't read and send a personal check, I reserve the right to hold it up to 20 days
If mailing payment, at the very minimum, please include the item number or copy of invoice with payment. (The best idea is to print a copy of the invoice) I work full time but, I WILL SHIP 6 DAYS A WEEK when I can, excluding Holidays.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me. (Use: Ask seller a question)
*Winning bidders to pay shipping and handling for USPS Priority Mail for all items purchased (Includes free Delivery Confirmation). I don't like using First Class or Parcel Post, but I will if that’s what it takes.Insurance is optional but recommended. PayPal payment must be received within 3 days from the end of the auction, and money orders or other mailed payments must be received within 7 days or items will be re-listed with a non-paying bidder alert filed, unpaid item strike, and negative feedback. I've never had to leave a negative because the unpaid item strike effectively puts a buyer/seller out of business. (I hate to get nasty about it, but let’s get real for a minute here. 99.99% of my auctions are "buy it now". When people "buy it now" and then don't pay it is very frustrating to me. I can understand buyer’s remorse, but if someone is that indecisive, that they buy it now, and then do not pay for it...I guess I just do not understand…) I will always combine shipping on multiple auctions won unless otherwise noted in the description - within the same week - whenever possible.
I will consider bending these rules if asked in advance.
I accept PayPal, well concealed cash, PayPal, personal checks (ONLY if you have at least 100 positives and no negatives and I will wait to ship until checks clear), PayPal, money orders, PayPal, cashier's checks, PayPal, e-checks (WARNING: e-checks through PayPal take 3-5 days to clear!) and PayPal. I will entertain other forms of payment not listed above ONLY if approved in advance. (You must ask before bidding.)
Oh, did I mention that I accept PayPal?
(see, there's that sense of humor again!)
If you purchase (or intend to purchase) multiple auctions, please let me know when you are through bidding and I will send an invoice with the corrected combined shipping total.
Insurance is optional at a cost of $1.65 to cover items up to a $50.00 value. I will not be responsible for lost or damaged mail or uninsured purchases.
(NOTE: I do NOT overcharge for insurance)
IMPORTANT: WINNING BIDDER MUST CONTACT ME WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER AUCTION ENDS!
(If I wanted to be in suspense, I'd read a book!)
Shipping Disclaimer
I double (and sometimes triple) box items most of the time. I use plenty of tape all of the time! You will need a box-knife if you purchase large items/lots from me.
I worked in shipping and receiving for several years, so I have unbeatable packaging skills.
I will reuse and recycle all packing materials.
(It's either that, or charge more for shipping and I don't want to do that.)
(Reused and recycled packing materials will contain NO COCKROACHES!)
So, the package may not be pretty on the outside, but it will be sturdy and secure.
Anyway, it's what's on the inside that counts right?
I absolutely hate shredded paper and will only use it out of desperation or when I run out everything else.
International
I welcome International bids but you must know that the burden of risk is on you. I must say I've never had an International bidder not get an item or even be unhappy, just know our policy.
I will ship internationally with USPS Mail ONLY, shipping and price of items will absolutely be provided on invoices / customs forms! Payment must be PayPal ONLY! Obviously, international sales will cost more and take longer to reach you.
***International Bidders PLEASE NOTE: I only speak/write English. If you do not speak/write English, then please do not bid!
(Think about it...does it really do any good for me to mention this?)
Feedback
I always leave feedback. As a buyer, I leave it when I receive my purchases. As a seller, I ask that you leave feedback for me when you receive your items. This will remind me to leave feedback for you. If there is a problem with your items, please contact me BEFORE doing something drastic. I don't ever use negative feedback as a threat and feel there isn't anything that can't be worked out.
I reserve the right to:
1. Cancel or block bids from bidders with less than 10 positive feedbacks.
2. Cancel or block bids from bidders whose feedback total is negative
3. Cancel bids from bidders whose feedback is zero (newbies are always OK to bid)
Returns
I don't really have a return policy. Up until now I haven't needed one. My descriptions are honest, so I don’t understand why somebody would want to return something. I'll say this: I'm selling things I don't need, want, or have room for. I'm not a store. I don't really want to do returns. Serious bidders should have no reason to want to return something to me.
Ok, under special circumstances only, returns are allowed, but, buyer must first ask, and send pictures, and pay shipping to return the item to me, and understand that the original shipping handling fee in non-refundable. Any refund will be for purchase price only not including any original shipping and handling.
Refunds will only be made via PayPal.
NEW RULE: SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!
What's that you say? You only want part of the lot? Keep what you want and resell the rest! C'mon, it's eBay! That's what it's all about! Where do you think I got all of these extra cars?!?
