Thank you for taking the time to view my listings and My About Me Page! My name is Jane and I have been happily selling maternity clothes on Ebay for 4 years. I have a wonderful husband who happens to be a CPA, so he handles all the financial aspects of my Ebay business. I also have two wonderful daughters, ages 1 1/2 and 4, who keep me on my toes. I am fortunate to be able to stay home with my girls, but before I became a full-time mom, I was an attorney with the Legal Aid Society representing victims of housing discrimination and domestic violence survivors.
Enough about me! I want to tell you more about my business, Curvy Maternity.
I began selling my own used maternity clothes after my first daughter was born. I quickly realized that there was a huge demand for trendy, high quality maternity clothes, both gently used and brand new. I was also very discouraged by the options in maternity wear for plus sized women. The local maternity chain in my mall had a teenie tiny rack in the way back that had a limited number of plus sized maternity items. They were usually very plain and ordinary - nothing special. I knew that there had to be cute plus size maternity clothes out there somewhere! After working diligently, I made the appropriate contacts and found some great manufacturer's willing to create unique and beautiful plus size maternity clothes. I carry these items in my store and also create custom lots. I am always adding new items, so check back often!
Perhaps the most enjoyable part of my business is creating new maternity lots. I try and run a lot (usually consisting of 10 shirts, 3 bottoms and 2 dress) in Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large each week. I have SO MUCH FUN putting the outfits together and picking pieces that mix and match perfectly. Sometimes I will create a "career" lot and other times a "casual" one. It is also a lot of fun selecting my inventory and reviewing all of the new lines. If only I put this much thought into my own wardrobe!
