The world renowned taxidermy sculpture of
Sarina Brewer
Artist and naturalist Sarina Brewer recycles the natural into the unnatural. She is a licensed professional taxidermist who also holds a B.F.A. from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She utilizes animals that are roadkill, discarded livestock, destroyed nuisance animals, casualties of the pet trade, or animals that died of natural causes. None of the animals she uses are hunting trophies or were killed for the purpose of using them in her art. A strict "waste not, want not" policy is adhered to in her studio - virtually every part of the animal is used in some manner. She is the sole proprietor of the company "Custom Creature Taxidermy Arts" and has been specializing in creating one-of-a-kind sideshow gaffs for over 10 years. Her impressive resume includes numerous gallery exhibitions and her highly sought after works have appeared in dozens of publications here and abroad. Some of the most notable being; El Correo Espal (Spain), Front magazine (England), Bizarre magazine (England) Last magazine (Australia), Choc magazine (France), P-Magazine (Belgium), FHM magazine (Lithuania) and here at home in Maxim magazine, Fortune Small Business magazine, BUST magazine, Mpls/St. Paul magazine, Juxtapoz magazine, Garage magazine The Weekly World News, The Sun, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The New York Times. She also appeared on the nationally syndicated television talk show "Call of the Wild" and was interviewed for State of the Arts on Minnesota public radio.
