A little background about me & the work I do
This is work I have done, not pictures taken from another's work

 

 

I am a retired mother of 3 grown children and present grandmother to 6 grandchildren. (Just retired from working outside the home, never from my children.)

I am a widow do what I can to make ends meet.

Right now I do a load of sewing and other crafts making my own way

I have been decorating TY beanie babies since 1997. When I decided to take it beyond just a child’s toy and make my grandchildren "memories". I wanted it safe enough for them to play with yet so personalized they would always know it was made just for them and no one else. After a lot of thought of what I could do I came up with embroidering right on the TY Beanie itself. To do this I have to take the beanie completely apart while keeping the heart tag on. Sew the work on, sew and stuff the beanie back together. They really look as if they were sold that way. This is not a fast and easy task, it takes me between 4 to 5 hours working non-stop to do just one. After all it is for someone very special and something you will not be able to buy in any store.
