| I have been helping others all my life. I have always worked in the nursing profession, from nurses aide, to C N A, to L P N, I have enjoyed helping others. Now at 77, I am retired, but still want to help others. I have decided to combine my love of shopping with my love of being there for others into my own little business. I now enjoy going places and hunting out treasures for other collectors who want them. I'm not trying to get rich, just trying to stay active and prosper somewhat, I hope. Well, it's time for an up-date. This is still Mom's store, but her osteoarthritis is so bad she prefers to stay in bed all day and watch her soaps. So, I've taken over the running of the store for her. Hi, I'm Sue, her daughter. I step and fetch for her and my younger brother. So if it takes me a minute to get back to you, just hang in there, and I will get to you. I love selling books on Ebay because I love to read, and believe many others feel the same way. Books teach us, entertain us, heal us console us, enlighten us, delight us, give us hope, inspire us, give us insight and the list goes on. I have the deepest symphony for the people that do not master the skill of reading.My ex-husband could not read, and I had taken a speed reading course in the 7th grade. Talk about mis-matched. He had ADD, and was never diagnosed Because it wasn't discussed 35 - 40 years ago. But I do remember his hurt and shame. I would read to him on most occasions, he refused to even try to learn. The world he was missing was not replaceable. To me, that was so sad. There have been many times in my life when I found the answers to nagging questions in a book. Books can open your mind to new experiences you would otherwise never know existed, feelings you didn't know existed, opportunities to improve your self or your world. In grade school, I was taught President Lincoln taught himself by the light of the fireplace. He was able to take college exams and pass them without having gone to college. The amount of knowledge you can get from books is immeasurable. Books can become very personal. I've had books I liked to keep near for comfort, or reference, or facts. I've had books that had conformed to the shape of the previous owner, you could tell by the contour of the book. When we think about throwing away old ugly books, it's almost like killing a defenseless animal. It's hard to destroy books if you love books, you still try to find them a home. Books have life and can give life new meaning. I don't believe books will ever be absorbed into audio books or other electronic devices. Books have warmth, don't require batteries, let you pick up right where you left off and will patiently wait for your return. That's why I like selling books on Ebay. Books go with anybody, at any time to anyplace. But I also like shopping, so when I see something I feel somebody wants or needs, I'll pick it up and throw it on line and see what happens. |

| My mission is to constantly buy and sell. I love it. In order to keep volume low, I will very seldom have a reserve. I enjoy buying and selling, not sitting on something, hopefully waiting for top dollar. Sold says Sold. Usually the only items I will have a reserve on will belong to someone else. I try to find good quality collectables,and sell them as quickly as possible. At my age, I don't need a lot of stuff piling up that I can't take with me to my grave. But don't worry, I'm in excellent health and women in my family live to be a ripe old age. I have a daughter that does a lot of my running for me, that helps a lot. I wear her out whenever possible. He He He. But she loves shopping too, so it's all good. Hope you like my items, hope you buy from me soon. I am not good at figures, so I know I didn't fill out the shipping on multiple items very well. I try to find quality items to sell, I don't try to make my money from shipping. If you want multiple items, I will combine them in a box and give one price for all plus a buck or two for packaging costs. I will give the best price possible. Feel free to ask before you purchase.
