There are a few things I want to clarify about DSR ratings....DSR means DETAILED SELLER RATINGS!  These are the little stars that you give when leaving me feedback for an item you have purchased from me. 

This is the most misunderstood of all eBay policies for Buyers and for Sellers!  eBay tells Buyers that 4 stars out of the maximum 5 is wonderful.  eBay tells Sellers that 4 stars are TERRIBLE!  eBay even "reminds" Buyers that since the stars are anonymous that YOU can be HONEST.  You can!  That is always your right, but you should have all the information and eBay does not supply you with all the information so I have posted some here for you.

ITEM AS DESCRIBED: Did you receive the item you expected?  If you needed more pictures did the seller provide you with them?  Were all the flaws stated in the auction?  Did the Seller put everything you wanted to know in the description?  IF NOT, did you ask the Seller for more information before you bid?  Did you receive a prompt answer?  If you can answer YES to these questions, your Seller deserves 5 stars.

COMMUNICATION: If you asked the Seller a question...did you receive a prompt answer?  Did the Seller contact you in a quick and reasonable fashion after the auction ended?  Did you feel that the Seller cared about YOU?  If there was a problem do you feel the Seller made every attempt to rectify the problem?  If you can answer YES to these questions your Seller deserves 5 stars.

SHIPPING TIME: Did the Seller state how quickly your item would ship after receiving cleared payment?  Did the Seller ship the item in the stated time?  If "Life Happened" to the Seller, did the Seller promptly contact you about a delay and explain the delay?  Do you understand that the Seller has NO control over Shipping Time after the item has been shipped?  If you can answer YES to these questions, your Seller deserves 5 stars!

The US Postal Service does NOT guarantee delivery time of Priority Mail items. Priority Mail is estimated to arrive in 2-6 business days.  All US Postal Shipments have stated ESTIMATED times of delivery but that does not mean you will receive it in that time frame.  Weather conditions CAN play a part in time of delivery.  The estimated time is also BUSINESS days of which SATURDAY is not a business day even though the office is open.  It is only open a half day which is not a full 8 hours and does not qualify as a business day. 

SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES: First of all...Did your Seller offer FREE shipping?  If so, don't you think they deserve a 5 star rating in this category?  Did the Seller clearly state the cost of shipping and any handling fees that might be included?  (I use calculated shipping that gives you an automatic total based on your zip code.)  Was the stated cost the actual cost you were charged?  Do you understand that there are some items which require extra packaging materials?  If you can answer YES to these questions, your Seller deserves 5 stars.

(According to eBay SHIPPING @ HANDLING includes postage, envelope, packing materials, business cards, tape, paper, ink, eBay listing fees, eBay Final Value Fees, Pay Pal fees, and even more !!!  So, the $1.00 I charge for  shipping does not begin to cover the cost of all that.  Sellers  have to pay eBay a fee to list the item, 12 % of the selling price as a Final Value Fee, PayPal fees of $.35 plus a percentage of the amount for each transaction, Delivery Confirmation on a package is .19.  you do not pay for that.  I DO.  I also ship FREE of charge on many items which means I foot the bill for the envelope, paper, tape and everything else listed here.)  

Do you understand that eBay allows a Seller to charge a handling fee in those instances?  Do you understand that the Seller has NO control over what they are charged by USPS or any other carrier? (FYI ... USPS rates were raised again in Jan of 2009)  If you can answer YES to these questions, your Seller deserves 5 stars.

I wanted to personally provide you with this information so that you can make a better decision on using the DSR stars for all sellers.

So...... when you can....PLEASE give a grade of “5” stars on each of these 4 categories.   Keep in mind what is involved and that these grades ALSO determine how much eBay charges sellers and that determines our selling price of items we have for auction.  If a sellers average on any ONE of these categories is less than 4.8, we are penalized 10% in regard to our eBay fees.  Ebay says it is okay to give 4 stars in all of these areas but will SUSPEND a seller if that is what we get.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

I am a huge pet fan.  I have 3 dogs and 1 cat.  My dogs names are Cyclone, Matchbox and Cocoa.  You can see Cyclone (my Chihuahua) in the picture above!  More pics of my pets in the picture cubes below!  Matchbox is my daschund named after the band Matchbox 20 and Cocoa is my chocolate lab. 

My cat's name is Country because I found him in the country while I was working one day.  He was a small kitten and his ears were packed full of dirt and I do believe he was eating dirt to stay alive.  All of my pets are RESCUES!  

I love all types of music and will ocassionaly post some you tube videos on here.
