It was January 2006 when I got my very first home computer and like lot's of you, at first I wasn't sure what to do with it. So out of curiosity, I went to eBay for my first time to see what it was all about. One thing led to another and, before too long, I'd bought a set of golf clubs (irons) like a set I used to have. Well, being really proud of myself, I told everyone at work about my transaction, and as 'luck' would have it, a beginning-golfer co-worker asked if it was possible to buy Full sets of golf clubs on eBay. So that evening, I went back to eBay to see if there was anything for my friend. and sure enough - there was. Well that tweaked my interest, which caused me to want to clean out my garage - since like most golfers, I'd accumulated several sets of clubs over the years that I no longer used.
A week later, I bought my very first digital camera. And, after getting help from a young co-worker (I'm old and very un-tech savvy), I took some pictures of one of my spare sets of clubs, then struggled for close to 5 hours trying to list them. Not an easy task for an old dummy like me! But, after eventually getting through all of the listing screens, I'd done it. Ten days later, I was an official eBay seller (although not a very successful one). The 2nd set went a little easier, then the 3rd, etc., etc. Now, a bunch of transactions later, I've gotten the listing thing down to under an hour and I'm finally getting the hang of using a digital camera. Thank goodness for the eBay 'supersize' feature on the photo's though.
I'm still trying to figure out all of the buying / selling nuances though, and have to stumble my way through a transaction occassionally. Fortunately, because I'm not too proud to admit it, when I'm 'lost' my buyers & sellers have been very understanding and have provided me with some really flattering feedbacks. Not sure if that means they really like doing business with me or are just being polite. Hopefully, it's the former, as I try really hard to treat buyers & sellers the way I'd like to be treated - which is why I offer to pay all costs of returning merchandise to me within 14 days from the time of sale - provided it's in the same condition it was when I shipped it.
I can't guarantee that I'll continue to always make every buyer and seller happy, but I CAN guarantee that I'll try as hard as any other seller on eBay.
So if you're in the market for some quality golf clubs or have a few extra's lying around your garage that you'd like to sell, please give me a chance. I think you'll be happy with the results.
