I live with my family in small town USA (a.k.a. Howell, Michigan). I am married to the love of my life Nicholas, and we have two children,  Nicole is 15 and Joshua is 6.   I have one in High School and one in Kindergarten.  What was I thinking?

I have discovered two new passions since I have turned 40 something.  

The first is  restoring an old car.  To be exact, a 1966 silver-blue convertible  Ford Mustang with a V8 and the deluxe pony interior.  We took this car  down to the metal.  I never would have thought that I could enjoy  working  on cars!  Now  I can name that engine part with my husband without saying it the do-hickey that sticks into the what-cha-ma-call-it thingy.   I proud to say that it is my daily driver in the summer.

My second new passion is creating "Lampwork" beads. About three years ago I fell in love with them.  I loved the look and feel of them in jewelry.  One day my friend Michelle showed me a book written by Cindy Jenkins called  "Making Glass Beads" and  I have been playing with fire since then.   I still haven returned her  book yet! (Sorry Michelle)  I guess you  could  say that I have  loved gazing into a fire my whole life.  I love the way the glass reacts in the flame.  The colors that dance  in the flame seem to speak to my soul
