Started by Russell Gough in 2004 (originally called Daytona DVD Inc.) we provide professionals and serious amateurs with pre-owned Nikon professional equipment. We have sold nearly all models cameras from the Nikon F 35mm model manufactured in the 60's, up to the current D3 DSLR. We believe only hands on experience with the equipment we are selling can give us the knowledge and ability to service our customers. Every camera or lens is checked and tested thoroughly for both working condition and cosmetics. We state our findings openly in our item descriptions. All DSLRS are shipped with clean sensors (like new) so you are ready to shoot as soon as it arrives. We shoot sample images with most of the lenses we receive so our customers can see how the lens they wish to buy actually performs in the real world. Having a lifelong enthusiasm for quality Nikon equipment, it only seemed natural to buy and sell items he is passionate about. Russell's love of photography started at age 13 with a $20 camera, a Praktica LTL3. Progressing via Praktica LLC, Pentax MX, LX and finally his boyhood dream camera in 1983, a Nikon F2AS. Russell believes that it is not so important which camera you own, as long as it is EASY for you to use at your skill level. Your level of experience may determine how much you spend and what you choose, but ultimately YOU take the photo, not the camera. Without a doubt, the best cameras to learn on are fully manual, such as the Nikon F2 series. Once you have learned the relationships between shutter speed, aperture and focus by doing it all yourself you may move on to a fully auto exposure/focus camera and UNDERSTAND what the camera is doing for you.
