The Scooby Doo Connection As many of my age, mid 30's, I grew up with Scooby Doo, and while he is still my favorite, I felt the need to give Shaggy his due also! Additionally, too many people are using Scooby! WHAT IS MY CRITERIA FOR SELLING CDS? Most of what I have sold recently includes music CDs, and an occasional DVD. I am somewhat fussy about my standards for quality level on the CDs I sell, mainly because I myself have received CDs labeled excellent, yet are scratched or scuffed beyond belief. I didn't like accepting that level, and neither should you. This is how I grade what I sell: 1. NEW: The CD or DVD must be not only new, but still in its wrapper. No cracked cases or obvious defects. If it is opened it is LIKE NEW, even if it is NEW. 2. LIKE NEW: Usually for me that means I have listened to the CD once or twice, and put on my computer or IPOD the songs I liked. Or it is a CD that was rarely played, and looks new. No marks, or 1 or 2 very slight ones. Case and covers near perfect. 3. VERY GOOD: This means minor wear, such as a couple marks on the CD, or on the case and/or covers. The CD should play perfect, though. 4. GOOD: This is where I usually lump all the CDs that don't fit in the above categories, even though they may still play perfect, or look good. They usually have minor scratches or scuffed cases, but always play without a miss. If a CD is worse than this, I either don't sell it, or I sell it as acceptable and discount as such. 5. If a CD I am selling is purchased through the music club BMG, I will always list it as such. I know some people don't like them, but a well kept CD is good no matter where it is from. 6. If a case is cracked, scruffed badly, or the inner CD holder is broken, I usually replace it with a new case, if I can sell it as VERY GOOD or higher. I pay about 40 cents per case, so in all likelihood, they are at least as good or better than the original. 7. I ship just about everything first class, because that is so much quicker. I just think people appreciate that, and the cost is not much different for CDs. I will put on the listing if I am going to ship first class for that item. If you purchase anything online, you should be a member of at least one site such as this one so that you can reap the rewards as well. |
