Hi, and Welcome to DBF COMICS & COLLECTABLES.

I have been reading & collecting comics for over 35 years and my main interest is Marvel Comics (Superheroes).

I stopped 'full-time' selling comics at the end of 2008 and I now buy and sell on a casual basis only. I will start new auctions and listings in 2009, so watch this space !!!

I am not a fanatical 'grade freak' but an enthusiastic collector / seller / fan who enjoys the world of comics.

I have devised my own grading system for the comics/items that I list , this is referred to as the DBF COMICS GRADE in my listings.

My comics grading system is as follows ;

'READABLE' = Grade Range; GOOD/VERY GOOD-, this is may be a well worn copy but the 'story' is intact and readable. Only really a good reading copy or a ‘gap filler’ for any collection .

'READABLE & COLLECTABLE' = Grade Range; VERY GOOD/FINE-, still collectable, intact and readable but with some of the general defects that are associated with this grade(spine wear,creases, aging,staple stress, etc).

'COLLECTABLE' = Grade Range; FINE/VERY FINE-, a good solid collectable copy with a few, if any, of the defects that are associated with this grade(minor/slight spine wear,slight creasing, slight aging,light staple stress, etc).

'VERY COLLECTABLE' = Grade Range VERY FINE-/NEAR MINT, very collectable and almost as new. Quite often unread and still in the best condition possible ( clean, flat, intact) and with only a small minor slight defect, if any.

This is my own grading system and is a guide to help any potential bidders / buyers. It is not definative, but it is a general indication of the condition of the items for sale.
