Hi from dblduce49! I have been buying and selling on Ebay since 1999, and as you can see from my feedback, I have had many very satisfied customers over the years. Born in 1949, I am a proud Virginian baby boomer with one husband, two children, and three gorgeous grandsons. "Widgie" was my nickname all through school; hence, my eBay store name, widgie's attic.
I know a little about a whole lot of things, and a whole lot about a few things. I do alot of research on the items I sell and never sell anything that I would not be proud to own myself, and I treat my buyers as I hope other sellers will treat me. If I make a mistake, I always appreciate being given the opportunity to make it right. And on the other side, if I make a buyer especially happy, I like to hear about that, too! You won't get alot of "gushy" emails from me, but I send prompt invoices, advise of shipping dates thru feedback, and ship on Tuesdays and Fridays (so pay by Mondays or Thursdays). I always try to answer questions promptly and will email additional photos if requested.
My friends and family say I have a great sense of style and tend to lean toward classic lines in clothing and shoes - things I would be proud to wear. If I offer clothing or shoes or purses, be assured that they are good to great quality. I won't wear "junk" and I won't sell it either!
Estate auctions and yard sales provide a lot of the items I sell. Because Ebay is a marketplace to the WHOLE WORLD, when I am perusing items at an auction or sale, I ask myself not only "do I like/want/need this item?" but also, "will anybody in the world like/want/need this item?" It seems that everybody collects something, so I look for collectable items, unusual and unique and hand-made items, quality vintage jewelry, silver & silverplate items, quality shoes and clothing with classic lines, quality leather purses, antiques, primitives, and interesting art pieces.
I have been employed in the Virginia State Court system for 26 years, and Ebay has been my "moonlighting" job for the past 10 years. When I retire, I hope to become a full-time ebay seller. Hope my satisfied customers and new buyers will enjoy watching my items, and I look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Ebay and all you happy bidders out there!
My sweet and indulgent husband (Bless his lil ol' Country heart!) is beginning to think our house is looking more like a roadside "junque" shop than a home, and I've been tactfully encouraged to buy less and sell more - so watch for lots of interesting auctions from dblduce49 and widgie's attic store real soon!
