I am in the finance world and have been for 23 years. Being in the same line of work for this amount of years can be.....a bit mundane sometimes. This year during my slow season, I began to think of ways to create business of my own, something I enjoyed.. I began to envision what I would make and then, who I would sell to. My mind just went crazy with creative thoughts and ideas.
At the library I ran across a book on Ebay for Dummies. That was me. I was so intrigued and on fire about it I just started. I had no idea what to do but knew I just was going to start. HOW FUN AND FULFILLING! I found a passion right here at my computer and a new community which I intend on staying with for a very, very long time.
In my personal life I enjoy outdoor activites; running, hiking, and kayaking. I enjoy my family and Jak, the German Shepard who rules the house. We have a lot of fun creating memories. My motto in life is to enjoy it and live each day in the moment as much as possible. Sometime I need to pull on the reigns and get myself back to center.
This is how I became "dbowtique". Happy shopping, bidding, and thank you for welcoming me into the Ebay community.
Update 2008: I now run my boutique's full time! I quit the mortgage industry and lo and behold, just in time it appears due to the credit crunch. This time I get to step aside and not play (another word for utter stress in the biz).
I have learned so much about selling on-line, what a year! I learn that I enjoy selling fine items, gifts at that others will tell their friends about. I have always gravitated to nice items myself, boutique type items, so I buy my own merchandise based on my personal taste.
Fine items I like to sell are fine baby gifts, keepsakes that can be presented to baby later as a grown-up. Who wouldn't want the best for their baby.
I find designer items are an exciting auction item so I constantly look for designer Juicy Couture, Michael Kors, Nine West, & many more fashion items.
My kitchen items resemble exactly how my own kitchen looks; a touch of French Country including cookbook holders, dishes, unique dinnerware, especially the shell motif.
And last but not least, my all time hobby at home, journaling. You will find many different writing journals in my store. It is like changing the color of a rug, it brings an entirely new look and feel. I am inspired to write when I refresh my journals on a regular basis. Non-fiction books we carry focus on the family, self improvement, and self empowerment.
I could go on forever but then I would not have room for another update at year end. Have a great year! Blessings to all of you!
