Dear eBay Shopper,
I just love creating things. I always have, ever since I was a little girl. Now it is just so exciting because the things I create are actually getting manufactured and sold - and I get to sort of spread it around the world a bit, so that's really fun!
When I was a kid, I was into paper dolls, coloring inside the lines in coloring books, and mimicking my mother's artsy - crafty abilities and my Polish grandmother's crochet expertise Anything and everything to challenge an innate creativity - color, design, texture, fit, proportion, visual acuity, sense of balance or rightness. I had a really good high school art teacher so it felt natural to be an A+ student of art class, where I learned most of my art versatility ... drawing, clay sculpture, pen & ink techniques, calligraphy, colored pencil & watercolor techniques. I learned to be much freer with my expressions. It freed me up as a person and everything I wanted to be creatively.
When I got to age 36, I hadn't really drawn or painted or done anything since high school, and then one day with a handful of drawings I applied for a graphic artist position in Palm Springs California. I began applying my knowledge morning, noon, and night. It was like a drug to me. I couldn't stop once I got started. I never imagined that anyone would ever see my stuff in a magazine, on business cards, flyers, or as logo's, and more.
The greatest thing about being a designer or an artist, for me, is that this is part of my journey, and I'd like people to celebrate their journey's using my inspirations. And people are impacted by items I create and design. That's really exciting!
