I began with eBay in December 2002 in my search for Tiny Thumbelina. That one search has allowed me to own a private collection as well as selling restored dolls. Due to a work related accident/injury in 1998 that led to surgery in 2000, I can no longer work. Dolls have given me an outlet to do what I truly love doing, and eBay has been the perfect venue to sell these dolls to those who wanted to find or replace their favorite childhood doll. After purchasing my first doll, I spent the next 2-3 years researching Ideal dolls. Especially Tiny Thumbelina. I learned everything I could about her; how, when and where she was first created and produced. I then taught myself to repair and restore her to her original condition. This was no easy task. It involved long hours and alot of frustration. I am excited to say that I have never been disappointed with the way any of my dolls have turned out. Due to my injury I can no longer do what I used to love doing. The dolls have been great therapy, and allows me to work at my own pace on days the pain dictates my time. I love to paint, sew and cross-stitch. I taught myself cake decorating and floral design for weddings. I was so blessed to be able to do all the flowers and favors for our son's wedding in May 2007. I am happily married and other than my 2 grown children, we also have a 3 year old grandson and a NEW GRAND-DAUGHTER born August 6, 2009! Baby Avery is truly a blessing from God. She's perfect in every way, and gorgeous! Little Nathen has forever changed our lives, as I'm sure his "widdle" sister will do. We have learned more from our grandson in his 3 short years that has not only changed our lives, but our hearts as well. As I look back at the ultra-sound pictures of our precious grand-daughter, I am constantly reminded of a scripture in the Bible. In the Psalms it states, "For I am fearfully and wonderfully made". When I look at sweet Nathen I find myself praising Jesus and thanking Him for the life He formed and entrusted to our family. The birth of Avery and holding her in my arms for the first time melted my heart with the love, grace and mercy that can only come from knowing the One who formed her. Jesus has blessed our lives beyond measure. And lastly, although I love my husband, children and little Nathen, I love my Lord Jesus more. For without Him, I couldn't be who I am today without His love and guidance. He has enabled me to do what I do and what I have accomplished in my life.
