Hello and let me introduce myself and tell you a little bit about us and our beginnings. My name is Debra McTaggert and I am the proud owner of The Pattern House here at eBay and on line at www.thepatternhouse.com!

Our store is a small family run business and was started out of two loves. 1. The joy of crafting, and 2. I loved to play store as a kid instead of playing house!

I grew up in a family of seven girls. I had the enjoyment and hassels of six little sisters. And I would make them play store. They were my workers, clerks, customers and babies. Yes I set my self up as the boss.... I was the oldest after all!
Our Mother would find us borrowing her canned goods, boxes and livingroom for our wonderful store. I think setting up was the most fun of it all! We would use our Monopoly game money and pull out our dress up box to dress our parts. Never mind that Mrs. Green wore a ball gown from the 50's with fairy wings, and carried a wand and a purse...

Today it is much the same. I still have a dress up box... where else would I keep my Red Hat? (And if someone wants to wear fairy wings here, or carry a wand, it is considered to be creative around here ;).

I have four wonderful children, two fantastic daughter-in-laws, that I consider my own, and six of the most lovely Grandchildren you ever laid eyes on! Most of the grandkids are too young to work in the family business, and most of my children all have their own ventures too. So I also rely on some very special people, that are just like family, to help get your orders out the door!
