For twenty one years my passion was wildlife rehabilitation. I have been licensed in the state of Florida since 1984 running a wildlife shelter, taking in sick, injured and orphaned wildlife 24-7. Although it was rewarding to be able to release a wild bird or animal that would have otherwise died, it is also extremely traumatic when you lose the creature despite your best efforts, which happens more often than not. When burn out set in, I decided it was time to turn the responsibility over to someone else and take a break. I have written a book on wildlife rehabilitation and operate a website devoted to helping people who have found a wild creature and don't know what to do with it. I get emails from people all over the world and hopefully have helped them to help the animal that they have rescued.
My second passion has always been my home and garden, so it was a natural progression to start collecting things that I would like for myself and offer them to others in my Ebay Store. I also try to offer a place for local artisans to sell their handmade items like jewelry, suncatchers,folk art painting, and silk floral arrangements. To constantly build the stock, I also buy wholesale, so that I can offer unique lamps, garden items like bird feeders and birdhouses and windchimes. I'm always on the lookout for things that I would like in my home or garden, track down the source,and put them in my store. I'm dedicated to offering quality items at a fair price with prompt shipping and excellent customer service. I believe in communicating with my buyers on a personal basis so that I can create trust and satisfaction and hopefully repeat customers.
