Mission Statement:

Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian non-profit dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in Kent County, Delaware.  We believe adequate and affordable shelter is a matter of conscience and action.  Habitat for Humanity has always had a policy of building with people in need, regardless of race or religion.  Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every person should have a simple, decent, and affordable place to live.  We pursue this mission by partnering with selected families who are able to pay for their home.  We consider this partnership integral to our belief in “a hand up, not a hand out.”
