oils produce in kibbutz Urim in the north western Negev reign. The
pure Essential oils are naturally produced from organic healing herbs
grown in our fields in the Negev land. The company produce essential
oils and hydrosol (aromatic water), which
are generated in the oil
making process.
"Light Of
The
Desert" is a part of Gadash
Ora , an agricultural partnership of Three Kibbutzes. the company exist
since 1948 and is well experienced in growing vegetables, wheat and
herbs. In 2005 began a project of growing organic herbs for the
production of essential oils. the project is accompanied with the help
of the department of Aromatic, Medicinal and Spice Crops in Newe Yaa'r,
an agricultural research center. The northern branch of volcanic
institute ministry of agriculture Israel. the crew of Newe Ya'ar is led
by Dr. Nativ Dudai a well known professional in herbs. Every essential
oil that produced in "light Of The Desert"
comes with a gas
chromatograph (GCMS) analysis that is been done in Newe Ya'ar lab.
- Essential oils are distilled during the summer, when
the plant reaches its maximum yield.
- The plants are processed with steam, which separates
the oil from the plant, and helps retain the medicinal properties of
the oils.
- After the distillation 100% pure oil is bottled for
sale.
- The research and development of the oil production is
being done in association with the Center for Research of Medicinal
Herbs, Spices and Perfume in the "Neve Y'aar" agricultural management
unit
