DesertVintage is located in New Mexico, which is in the USA, not Mexico ;). We hand-pick and offer unique vintage clothing and accessories from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's! If you want hippie, urban, boho, rockabilly, new wave, punk, indie, dolly , retro, or any other unique styles you can find it here! We mostly sell women's but occasionally sell men's clothing as well. Items are listed weekly, year-round, so check back often!

U.S. SHIPPING: I ship using the United States Postal Service because it is the most cost efficient way for me to get your item to you. ALL shipments within the U.S. include FREE delivery confirmation/tracking. For U.S. buyers I offer, First Class Mail for items under 13 oz., Priority Mail, and Parcel Post Mail. If you need Express delivery please contact me BEFORE auction ending to confirm. Items marked as Free Shipping will ship First Class Post or Priority depending on weight.

OUTSIDE OF U.S. SHIPPING: I ship worldwide! However, please be aware of the items your country allows you to import, as well as any custom duties and taxes that your country charges. You are responsible for all taxes and duties on your items. I ship via USPS and offer First Class Air Mail Post and Global Priority Mail on most items. If you would prefer a faster shipping method please ask.

Please allow 3-7 days for your item to ship after auction ending. Most items ship before 3 days but sometimes it may take a little longer to get your item out to you. If you need your item faster please contact me, I am happy to accommodate. Like most Ebay businesses, DesertVintage is a one-woman business with limited help, I do not have a large staff packing and shipping items 24 hours a day, nor do I have a shipping company that can come pick items up. I hand pack, label, and deliver every item to the Post Office myself. Please be patient and email if there are any questions/problems!

If you cannot pay within 10 days of auction ending please contact me to make arrangements. I am more than happy to work with you. If no contact is made and payment has not been received I will assume you no longer want the item and will file Non-Paying Bidder status with Ebay.

Return Policy:Items are described to the best of my ability. On occasion I may overlook something and in those cases I am happy to take a return, as long as it is not normal wear which is inherent for vintage and is NOT considered damage. If you feel the item has been grossly misrepresented please contact me within 24 hours to make arrangements for a return or credit. Item must be returned within 4 days after APPROVAL in the same condition it was shipped. Refund will be issued the same way you paid upon receipt of the item. I do not give refunds for fit. All items are listed with measurements in the table on the left side of the auction page. If you need additional measurements please ask. I want you to be HAPPY with your item, if you feel compelled to leave negative feedback please contact me FIRST to see if we can come to an agreement.

The items you are purchasing are in most cases "Vintage" -- 20 years or older. They may need special handling and care. Please be aware that condition ratings of "vintage" items is not the same as ratings of modern/new clothing. If you are expecting a brand new, pristine clothing item you may want to think twice about purchasing vintage clothing. For Vintage Clothing and Accessories I follow the following ratings:

* Mint: Garment is faultless, was worn seldom or not at all, and has not been altered to a second permanence.

* Excellent: Garment has no obvious faults in appearance, and possibly was worn several times. Fibers may be weakened by time and/or conditions.

* Good: Garment has minor stains and/or fabric tearing or abrasion which may be noticeable; or, fabric may be weak from time and/or conditions.

* Fair: Garment has apparent stains and/or fabric wear; these problems are either irreparable or have been repaired, but are not perfect in appearance.

* Poor: Garment has obvious permanent stains and/or fabric wear and is not repairable in its present state. These garments are sometimes useful for display, costume, study, or pattern copying.


A NOTE ABOUT EBAY'S STAR SYSTEM: I strive to provide a 5-star service. Please contact me if you have any concerns/questions about your purchase and let me try to remedy the problem.
Ebay's STAR system is more than just a general opinion of the transaction. eBay is sending mixed information to buyers and sellers regarding the star system. Buyers are told that a "4" star rating in a category is a "good" rating, while sellers are given lower than standard treatment if their star ratings fall below a 4.6. Additionally, beginning in October, 2008 sellers whose 30-day ratings have dropped below a 4.3 in any of the categories will receive additional sanctions and will be suspended from selling if any of the ratings falls below 4.1. For low-volume sellers, it would only take a fraction of well-meant "4" ratings to suspend a seller that the buyers thought were "good". Please think about this when leaving stars for a seller.
