About Us and Our Auction Company Desert West Auction Co. is owned & operated by Bob & Jane Coogan. We specialize in Estate, Liquidation & Consignment Sales. Our Auction Gallery is located in the big Red Barn at 3870 N. Hwy 35, in beautiful Mimbres Valley with auctions almost monthly. Sale time is 10 am (MST) with a preview time from 9am-10am on the days of the auction. We have an eBay store. Packaging and Shipping: Our Packaging Materials: The Number One goal of Desert West Auction Service Shipping Department is for your items to arrive in perfect condition. We use several different packaging methods to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition. We also care about the environment. That is why we make every attempt to ensure our packaging materials are recyclable, and, where possible, made from recycled materials themselves. Boxes: All Desertwestauction Live Auction items are shipped in a recyclable corrugated container. After you receive your items you should be able to send the box directly to your local recycling center. We suggest removing any shipping labels to ensure your privacy. Bubble Wrap: This ingenious invention is made up from recycled materials and in most areas can be sent to the plastics area of your local recycling center. Peanuts: Much as we really do not like to use them there are some products we ship out that require packing peanuts to ensure the shipment arrives at your door in perfect condition. All of the peanuts we use are made from recycled, non-toxic materials and can be recycled again. You can contact your local recycler for instructions in how to dispose of them. If your local recycler does not accept them you can offer them to your local schools for classroom projects, local businesses, or your local pack-and-ship stores for reuse. Or you can use them at the bottom of your planters (flowers, garden veggies, etc) where you would normally use rocks. They are lightweight, do not hold water, but still allow plants to drain. |
