Salutations!
Thank you for your interest in meeting the person behind the listings of designedbydonna!
Hello my name is donna. My husband and our 2 adorable girls, ages 9 & 13, live in Hurst, The Lone Star State of Texas! Tucked in between Dallas and Fort Worth we share our home with 2 cats, 11 snakes, 3 leopard geckos, 1 hermit crab and 3 Goldfish.... the partridge in a pear tree flew off years ago!! I was laid off my Corporate job of 13 years back in the fall of 2000 and found myself a full time mom and zoo keeper ….24-7!! While the benefits, for the well fare of the children, are outstanding….. the absence of the extra income quickly caught up!
Years ago I was tired of paying the outrageous prices for jewelry and many times could not find the “just right color” for that special outfit and started making my own. Ebay has offered the world at my doorstep and the opportunity to meet new friends and work from my house!
If you need earrings, necklace, bracelet or anklet, in a special color and you do not see what you need in my store or listings, please email me! I can send you an email attachment photo with different color beads for you to choose from and will custom make your very own style of jewelry.
My passion is jewelry and I welcome you!
Now the technical stuff: As mentioned I do have 2 kitties. If you have severe allergies to cats it might be best not to bid, although most of my beads, findings and ebay items are stored in either plastic bags or boxes so it should really not be a problem. However there might be a floating kitty hair here and there??
Please review all the listing information PRIOR to bidding. A BID IS A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT TO PAY. If you bid you are agreeing to purchase the item from the seller if you are the winning bidder. You are responsible for reading the full item listing, including the seller’s instructions and accept payment methods. I assume all responsibility for listing the item. If, after 7 days, you have not contacted me with payment plans, and/or if payment has not been received with in 10 days I must file an “unpaid item reminder” with ebay. If payment is never received the auction will be closed and an unpaid strike against your account will be issued. This must be done for me to obtain credit for final value fees we sellers have to pay. Be careful… three unpaid strikes on ebay and your account is suspended. At that point negative feedback will be given and future bids blocked. Forgive me for even having to include this statement. How wonderful would the world be if we all put integrity first?
The price stated for shipping also includes my costs for the items I must purchase to run a business… such as bubble envelopes, bubble wrap, packing popcorn, packing tape, paper, ink, labels, shipping tape, box hunting, listing fee’s, gas back and forth to the post office and MORE. uGh!!!! I think the saying should be changed to shipping AND packing to be more accurate. I will be more than happy to combine shipping on MULTIPLE WINS however payment must be made on only ONE invoice. Paypal charges sellers a flat fee PLUS a percentage of each and every sale… UgH!!! I take great pride in shipping daily from zip code 76053 in Texas.
** International bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding for a shipping and handling quote. PLEASE do not change the US shipping amount to whatever you "think" will cover the costs. This only causes delays and requires another payment because it is more expensive!! In many instances it takes up to 6 weeks for a package to arrive. Please do NOT ask me to lie and mark the purchased item as “gift” or decrease the purchase amount on Customs forms. Shipping Insurance is also not available on International packages and will be at the sole risk of the purchaser. You are also responsible for any Custom fees. Again keep in mind that International shipping can be costly and sometimes VERY timely!
Thank you again for taking the time to read about me.
Blessings, donna <><
