Randy is from "Dilbert" country, right around the corner from Dilbert creator Scott Adams.

He is a senior R&D technolgist for a major auto parts supplier after a long career with the research labs of the largest automaker.

He enjoys collecting, especially old cameras, phonographs and recording devices, lamps and lanterns (especially railroad) and hand-built models.     Although not a "high end" collector by any stretch of the imagination, Randy has collected a great selection of interesting devices over the years and amassed a good working knowledge of old cameras, lanterns and phonographs.

In his reviews and guides, Randy tries to share that knowledge with other ebayers in the hopes that they will find it easier to find and buy, or successfully sell their cameras and phonoographs.    As with most collectors, Randy has learned some of his lessons the "hard way" and hopes other collectors can learn without making some of the most basic collecting mistakes.
