Hello to everyone taking the time to read this page
I sell and buy on ebay as a bit of a hobby although some weeks it does have a tendency to take over my life!
Any excuse not to do the housework is what I say! Although I can think of many others!!
I have two children and I sell all their unwanted/grown out of clothes/toys - normally just to make way for a new lot. I often get asked to sell other family members and friends stuff. I dont make any money from this I do it as a favour then try and show them how to do it themselves!!
My passion is shopping and I try and limit that to once a week/fortnight although I can still get my fix on ebay and no one is any wiser!!! I also enjoy chatting (as you can tell), ebaying, cake decorating and my children (not necessarily in that order) (notice the absence of the other half in this list!!)
I tend to sell anything and everything that is around the house. If there is a birthday/xmas/spending spree on the cards I try to get a little extra cash by selling what I lovingly refer to as my old toot!
I have a daughter who wants everything but plays with nothing (except the TV and computer) and a son who breaks everything he comes into contact with. Sometimes I sell his stuff rather than it getting ruined (probably shoudlnt have bought it in the first place but I cant stop myself!)
Like everyone I am trying to reign in at the moment due to credit crunch. The money i get from selling goes to buying new stuff or paying bills. (notice they came last!)
Most people think I am mad and I bore the other half/children/parents/friends with listing/bidding activity on a daily basis.
I like to think I am a fair person and go to great lengths to describe my goods in great detail sometimes not a great sales tactic! I would rather someone was happy with their purchase than disappointed even if it means only getting 99p for the effort. Every little helps!
I try as much as possible to recycle packaging but I do get into trouble for keeping odd bits of bubble wrap and boxes around the house (the cause of many an arguement!) so I do still buy the odd bag or hundred and have to take this into consideration when calculating packaging costs.
My aim is to have a tidy house free of clutter one day so I can spend even less time on the housework!!!
Oh so boring bit.
If you pay for an item before 1.30 on a weekday then I do aim to get item in post that same day. I do try and contact everyone to let them know but sometimes there just isnt time and I always think it will be a nice surprise to have a purchase delivered next day. I always leave positive feedback (eventually!).
I have had a lot of non paying bidders recently and whilst I understand not everyones life is as empty as mine(!) I would appreciate a message to let me know item is no longer required. As long as I get my fees back from ebay I dont mind if you havent got the money/have changed your mind or any other reason but Im not a mind reader (although the other half seems to think I might be!!)
I do try and resolve disputes amicably but will not tolerate abuse.
I always read my feedback and am delighted to hear from anyone who is pleased with their purchase.
Hope you like my bits n bobs
