Insurance is available, and recommended, since items will not be replaced if lost or damaged in shipment. For items shipped via USPS, insurance is $1.80 per $50 of the Final Selling Price of an auction. For items shipped via FedEx, insurance is generally including, but will be addressed specifically in the auctions description.
All items require Tracking or Delivery Confirmation. This cost is included in each auction's stated S&H.
I package and ship very carefully, however, I will not be responsible for uninsured items unless otherwise specified.
If a specific auction item is rare, delicate, very valuable, or one-of-a-kind, I may require the item to be shipped with insurance. In those instances, I will state the requirement in the individual auction description.
If an insured item is damaged during shipment, please save all your packing materials. The purchaser will file the claim with the USPS. I will provide any needed documentation and assist whenever necessary with the process. My experience has taught me that the PO will require that the damaged item, and associated packing materials, be shown to an Inspector in order to validate a claim.
If an insured item is lost during shipment, I will file the claim with the USPS. When the claim is approved and the value of the item is refunded to me, I will promptly forward the refund to the purchaser. I will not issue a refund until the insurance claim has been approved and closed by the USPS. My experience has taught me that iniating a claim for an insured item will often result in its sudden delivery by the PO.

Auction Items are sold AS-IS, and all sales are FINAL. Careful and Considerate shipment packaging is very important to me. I like to ship off each purchase in the same manner in which I would like to receive a purchase. However, I also care about our planet and recycling. Whenever reasonably possible, I will recycle clean shipping products. I will never skimp on the quality of packaging to do so. In addition, it helps to keep Shipping and Handling costs down, which benfits everybody.
