Poland & Polish Postal History Welcome to my eBay page. My main collections concern specific areas of Polish postal history. I've been collecting for over 40 years, starting a worldwide and US collection with my father when I was a kid. I've sold my worldwide and US collections & now I specialize in Polish postal history and postal history from Oneida County, NY -- my home town and current address. I'm most interested in collecting & learning more about Polish consulate covers and the postal history of the Polish Military in WWII Italy. I'm always interested in corresponding/trading with folks who share my collecting interests. Perhaps because I'm interested in the history of Poland & the Poles during WWII, my 'favorite' (odd use of the word, I suppose) postal history item is a paketcarte from the Woldenberg POW camp, addressed to Josef Labusz -- not a relative, perhaps, but a card addressed to a POW with my last name -- certainly brings the war home. Oneida County Postal History I also collect Utica NY and Oneida County NY postal history. I'm most avidly interested in Oneida County stampless covers. There are approximately 240 stampless postmarks and manuscript post offices; I have a bit less than 100 more to go. Nearly 25 of those aren't reported in the literature but the search goes on! I'm always interested in corresponding / trading with folks interested in Oneida County stampless. Because of my occupation (I teach graphic design and typography at a local college), I'm also interested in advertising covers from Oneida County printers, newspapers, paper suppliers, etc. And I have a nice collection of postal history signed by Oneida County luminaries -- things were hopping here in the 19th century....three Presidents, two presidential candidiates, and a vice president all were born or lived in Oneida County. Plus kingmaker Horatio Seymour, several other Senators, members of the Cabinet, inventors, artists, authors, and several interesting abolitionists. Keeps me busy looking!
