World of Animals by Sue DeWeese

As long as I can remember our house has been full of animals and art! My mother, Sue DeWeese, has drawn and painted from the time she was old enough to hold a pencil. Art is first and foremost a passion for her, but as my brother and I got older she turned to it to make a living. She built a very successful commercial art business which allowed her to care for her aging father, and to finish raising her family. Later, with the desktop publishing revolution, when everyone thought they had become graphic designers, she again changed careers going into real estate.
Now, since Mom’s retirement, art has once again become something she does for fun! She loves to do sculpture and to paint. In 2004 we discovered, quite by accident, the world of eBay and all the wonderful dog art being sold here. This has been a learning experience for us both and the melding of each of our distinct talents, me on the computer and Mom with a paint brush in her hand! I haven’t seen her this happy in ages!
So, just like in the beginning our house is again filled with animals and art…both a joy (most times). We share our lives with Bebop, the neurotic Italian Greyhound; Schatzie, my simple-minded Schnauzer; Pilgrim, the Border Collie who wandered into our lives one cold Thanksgiving morning; our cat Ansel (gray, of course); DeNeese and Moonie, who are Indian Ringneck Parakeets; and our newest addition and THE alpha dog, Dolly, the Boston Terror!
LIFE IS GOOD…CRAZY, BUT GOOD!
