Doll Art
Hello. My name is Philip B.
I have been buying and selling on eBay since 1999.
However, I must sell of a ton of stuff now because we are eventually moving from a 5 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom house. The 5 BR had a tons of storage space for all those large doll boxes but the 3BR does not, so many things have to go. That is why I start items so cheap - because I need the room. A house of dolls may sound nice for some people, but it's nice to have storage for food too - lol. Everything that I sell will be coming from a Smoke FREE and indoor Pet free home. There are a couple of horses but they don't come in the house and I do not bring the items out to them, so it's pretty much a pet free home.
Selling
I sell some off a bunch of 'our' nude Dolls that 'we' have, such as Barbie dolls, Gene dolls, Tonner dolls ( Tyler, Kitty, & Models ). I also sell off many outfits from these dolls because, some for them, were wanted for the doll and then a few years later off the doll goes. I have been selling off 'our' personal collections for the past several years now, of course, 'we' seem to be replacing the items, I sell off with even more and sometimes much faster ;)
I also sell off a lot of my DVDs(or at least try to sell off). As my taste change I sell off the DVD and use the money to buy new DVDs. Now that I have a BlueRay PS3 and a HD DVD player ( thanks for going out of business HD DVD) I will probably be converting many of my most beloved movies and TV seasons to high defination as they become available. Every once in a while I toss in a few Action figures, comic books, VHS tapes, Disney figurines, Fantasy novels, PS3 games and whatever else I fine laying arround the house that I can get my fingers on so that we have more space - lol.
So the only thing that I ask, if you bid on something, please pay for it, so these items will leave and live some place else. Because when the housing market finally picks back up - in a few years hopefully, please, please - and our VA house finally sells, I would really, really, really like to live in a place where I can walk around without getting attacked by dolls, and action figures, and comic books, and DVDs, and Books, and Video Games, and oh my gosh - I just realize that I have to put more stuff up on eBay!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buying
The items which I have been purchasing from other eBay members are DVDs, Comic Book statues.The main thing which I have my eyes out for are DVD TV series. All DVDs that I purchase must be region one and NOT Asian or Bootle DVDs - I always inquire if they are region one prior to bidding, most of the time people tell the truth, but every once in a while in a while they are mistaken and I get burned.
The other item for me to bid on are books. I only purchase Hard Cover Books. I am mainly replacing my softcover colections and extending them personal collection. The thing that burns my britches the most are Book Club Edition Books - I can not stand the sight of them and so many people on eBay pass them off as regular editions. The Book Club Editions ( BCE ) are smaller in size, smaller print and screw-up the look of my book shelves - lol. I always inquired prior to bidding on a book if it is a BCE. Usually people just let me know that if it is a BCE or if it is a regular Hardcover sized book. Every once in a while they make a mistake.
If I do not by now, then eventually I will have the complete collection for the following: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xena: Warrior Princess, Angel , Dark Angel, Andromeda, Hercules, Farscape (except Season 3, I sold it because it stunk - jmho), Smallville , Alias, Doctor Who, 24, Charmed, I Love Lucy (it's a classic) Supernatural, Desperate Housewifes, Ugly Betty, BeastMaster, BattleStar Galatica and much much waaaaay too much more. I am sure there are more but that is what comes to mind immediately. I do ask the studios one thing - please, please, pleeeeeaaaaase wait to come out on high Def until I have the room for you.

At various times of the year I may be a power seller - it takes time for us to build up to where we have too much stuff until we are forced to sell - but I can not keep it up with that many auctions required each month all year long to maintain the power seller status - so congrats to those of you who can.
