11/12/09: Here's my tragic story;
I'm out late at night with my daughter and her boyfriend putting up garage sale signs. Were way out in the country on back roads and its pitch black. I walk over to where I think would be a good spot to put up a sign and in a matter of literally 3 seconds I drop down a good two feet into a ditch, my ankle is twisted and I hear a SNAP, land on my butt and wrist, (somehow I got a blood blister on my thumb) and then feel this immense pain searing through my body! The pain starts at my ankle and just overwhelms me! Have you ever had a pain so intense that you want to scream, but you cant because it feels like your breath has been taken from you? If so, you know exactly how I was feeling!!!
I just had to sit there for about 5 minutes before I could even consider getting up. Once they got me into the car all I could do was swear uncontrollably!!! It hurt really bad! Luckily I can still wiggle my toes and move my foot around, the doctors said its not broken, just badly twisted. I should be better in a few days I hope! And hopefully I wont do any more damage while using my crutches!
So please dont go wandering around in the dark just for the sake of putting up a garage sale sign!!
