The following is the information for those who wish to learn to use www.live.com and obtain the Microsoft rebate.  Since the rules as listed on the live.com website are somewhat lengthy,I've decided to post this summary HERE and refer those of you wanting to learn about it to this inforation.

In the example below, we'll assume you're looking to buy a 2008 $10 gold eagle, but, obviously, you can change the item to whatever it is you're looking to buy. You should follow the following instructions EXACTLY. The rebate recently was as high as 30% but has been reduced in 5% increments to 15% currently. It appears as though Microsoft is gradually phasing it out.  We are not responsible for any changes in the percentage that Microsoft pays...that is set when you get to the buying page and will be posted there by Microsoft as a per centage "off" for that particular purchase.  If our auction say what the percentage is and Microsoft's is different, Microsofts's is obviously the correct one to go by.

Here's how to receive cash back from MS (not offered by me - but thru www.live.com so please make sure you understand the rules and do your research).

YOU CAN READ ALL ABOUT THE OFFER AT WWW.LIVE.COM!  or you can use this simplified instruction outline.

First, make a copy my auction's Ebay number. ____________

2. Open a new browser window at WWW.LIVE.COM

3. Type the name of the item that you're interested in purchasing...for example"2008 $10 gold eagle" in the search box that opens.

4. Click the link "2008 eagle - www.eBay.comLive Search cashback" (Click on "Live search cashback"   Make SURE that you see the green $--LiveSearchCashback logo next to this) If you don't then stop, close the browser and start over.

5. Paste my auction # into the 1st search bar.

6. Click on SEARCH to access my auction.

7. Click on Buy-It-Now (you should see the cash back discount logo under "Enter Quantity you want to buy")

8. Enter quantity you want to buy and click on CONTINUE

9. Your cashback savings amount will show next to the MS cashback icon. If it doesn't, stop, close the browser and start over. The current offer is 15% as of 12/04/08. I don't know how long this MicroSoft offer will last -  It changes every few days and lately has showed signs of being phased out.

10. Click on COMMIT TO BUY to finalize your purchase.

11. Proceed to the www.live.com website to request your rebate.

NOTES:

1) You need a valid Paypal account and use it to pay for the item

2) You MUST USE BuyItNow to get the cashback rebate!  (Not available for items won by bid)

3) You can get 15% (maximum of $200 cash back) per transaction.

4) You have 60 minutes from the time you open the www.live.com search to complete the transaction to be able to receive the cashback.

6) You are eligible for up to TWELVE (12) rebates per Ebay user ID.

7) Your cashback rebates will be held by Microsoft in a separate rebate account and will not be available until 60 days after your payment is completed.

8) Cashback rebates are available for only the FIRST PURCHASE during an online session. Subsequent items purchased during th same session are not eligible.  You must SIGN OUT (close the browser) and start a new session if you want to get a cashback rebate on subsequent items purchased.
