Happy, my dear old red dachshund, was my stubborn, bossy, devoted little companion for many years. She passed away in February 2008 from heart failure. I couldn't bear to leave her brother, Beacon, alone all day while I was at work. So Penny joined the family immediately.
She was chosen because her previous owner described her as "definately not alpha", which was the exact opposite of Happy, who was a tough little cookie! Penny is a sweet, funny clown, but chews up anything that's not put away. Although she has a pile of toys and bones, eye glasses, cell phones and remote controls are her favorites. I was able to find replacement remote controls right here on eBay, so I guess she's trying to do her part to increase sales here!
This pet family also includes William, Lucy and Mary Rachel. William is a 16 1/2 year old big orange tabby. He is a patient soul, as old cats often are. He was diagnosed well over a year ago with feline leukemia and failing kidneys. With lots of love and supplements, he has not slowed down much, and still enjoys each day. Lucy and Mary Rachel are mother and daughter brown tabbies. They are total couch potatoes!
I love vintage, antique, retro and handmade things. Classically beautiful or delightfully tacky, you may find that item in Happy's Vintage Home & Sewing. My personal weakness is little glass animals.
