I am a bank note collector like most. My fascination with paper money started after some extensive traveling years back. It all began with (almost) worthless worn-out bank notes from all over the World. I mainly collect former and present Socialist countries (1917-present) and QEII. However, to fund new purchases I am now parting with my large Socialist countries collection. This is an interesting part of our global history and the motives are truly history in your hands.
The following countries have already been sold (very fast): Albania, Angola, Bulgaria, Cambodia, PR China, Czechoslovakia, Ethiopia, Hungary, Nicaragua, North Korea, Poland, Romania, Russia, Somalia and Yugoslavia.. There may be a couple of notes left fra a country but don't count on it.
The following countries will be sold within the next few months: Cuba, Libya, Mongolia and whatever remains from a 400+ notes Vietnam collection.
Most countries are complete or near complete with respect to types and sometimes even to subtypes and date-variations. If you ever were missing any notes from these countries, this would be your chance to get some of them.
An important note. I am not a dealer, every single note is from my personal collection, so 99% of all the notes offered are one of a kind.
As most collectors know it takes years and years to assemble a complete or near complete collection, so basically I have done the hard work for you. But, there is no stock!!! Thus, no second chances once a note is sold. I should add that less than 10% of the notes does not sell the first time, which basically means that there is little chance notes will be relisted.
I hope you will find some of interest. Good luck bidding.
I am a member of the International Bank notes society (IBNS member #9663) and adhere to the IBNS code of conduct, so feel confident when you bid.
