I've been involved in health care now for over 23 years. After graduating from chiropractic school in the mid 80s, I ran a successful practice for nearly 13 years before an injury forced me into early retirement. However in my four years of chiropractic school and my actual years in practice, I gained an enormous wealth of knowledge and experience in health care and nutrition. Today, I use that experience and knowledge to counsel and advise people regarding the proper use of vitamins, herbs, homeopathics, botanicals and supplements.

Lastly, many of the cheaper, easily accessible supplements are synthetic and loaded with so many by-products and fillers, they may actually do more harm than good!

When choosing to buy nutritional products, these questions will be helpful:

• Do the sellers specialize in nutritional products or are they simply selling them along with other types of goods?
• What is their background and experience?
• Are their nutritional products of the very highest quality?
• Are they willing to go the extra mile for their potential and current customers, i.e., answering their product related questions?

If you are buying something from an unapproved source or from someone without the necessary clearance, background and expertise, please be careful; your health is too valuable to leave in the hands of unprofessionals.

For many years, I had been suffering with various intermittent symptoms of different intensity. Beginning in late 2005, these symptoms became increasingly worse until a severe bout of the flu in January of 2006 unleashed the Lyme spyrochete, which had been lying semi-dormant for what may have been years. I was diagnosed with Stage III Lyme shortly afterwards. There remains quite a bit of misinformation regarding Lyme, and it is much more serious than many realize. This disease can mimic over 350 medical conditions. It can be very aggressive and difficult to get rid of, leading to permanent damage of the nervous system and internal organs if left untreated. Depending on the source, there are around 60 or 70 primary symptoms and I had over 45 of them, including heart palpitations (more than 2,000 per day), fatigue, arthritis in all joints, dizziness, blood sugar imbalances, insomnia, mood swings, visual disturbances, and various pain throughout my body. I immediately went on a strong homeopathic treatment program which is structured to eradicate the bacteria, but could take as long as 6 months to 2 years before it and the symptoms were completely gone.

In the meantime, symptoms can get significantly worsen as the bacteria release toxins into the nervous system. This happened to me and I truly felt worse than I ever had in my life. I probably had the disease for many years, but did not know it and did not manifest the severe symptoms until that nasty flu caused enough stress to allow the organism to flourish.

Many experts feel that Lyme is epidemic and as many as 20 million people are currently infected without even realizing it or are being treated for something that the Lyme is mimicking! In my chiropractic journals, I came across a product from Drucker Labs called intraMax. I researched this product and its 415 ingredients for 2 months before finally gaining the confidence to try it. Within 24 hours of beginning intraMax, I noticed a significant improvement in my health; an improvement I had not noticed with the other treatment I was on, even though I know it was still beneficial.
