The Legend Of DRUMARTY!

Once upon a time there was a middle aged drummer named Marty. He had been playing drums for 35 years in various rock, country & jazz groups. A number of years ago, he & his lovely bride Linda moved to the Central Coast of California. He found that the less he played in front of people, the larger his legend grew! He opened a drum shop, & stopped playing live, & his legend as a master drummer grew even more!

One night, he sat in with a Chicago/Tower of Power type group, & the following week, everyone who came to his shop was calling him the "Funkmaster!" (Although the only people at the rehersal were the 9 band members & a few wives). Finally, after years of hiding, he did a series of classes at his shop, playing live in front of hundreds of local drummers. Much to his surprise, people still thought he could play! Well, there's no accounting for taste, is there?
