I have a small,simple eBay "business", if you want to call it that.
I am(as of 10/07) going in my 8th year as an eBay seller. When I first started, I had no camera & I had an old 486 computer w/ very little RAM. Of course now I have the best PC I have ever had, that I have used for over 3 years now.

Honesty is the best way when you are selling in cyberspace. I have no reason to lie or hide something to sell an item. In addition to my own photos, I still leave a detailed description. If an item is in bad shape,I mention it. I have nothing to gain by lying to sell a product, so why should I ruin my reputation by lying? Not only do I give honest details, but I also have the item in stock. When I sell any form of media, a book, game,DVD or VHS I always show my picture in addition to the stock photo. If there is a tear in a magazine, an article of clothing or an action figure is damaged in any way, I put it in the description. If I notice a defect in something I auction, I mention it.

I sell a variety of things(whatever I can get my hands on) for the sake of variety. I love variety. If I sell the same thing all the time, it gets boring.

Shipping & Handling -
Everything that I ship either in the USA or Internationally has a tracking #. Due to some negative experiences with overseas buyers, tracking is mandatory. I mainly use USPS, unless the item is too big and then I will use UPS to pack and ship. Handling includes time, labor and packing materials, be it for when I ship or what UPS charges for their handling. Bubble wrap and mailing parcels don't grow on trees :)

Feedback -
Once the buyer receives the product & is happy, once I get a positive feedback comment, I will promptly return the favor. It is important to me that the buyer receives the merchandise before any feedback is given. I do NOT like eBays new feedback system starting in 2008.

I am very easy to deal with, any questions or problems with or about an item, I will answer you as promptly as possible. Most if not all things can be worked out. Communication is very important while dealing in cyberspace. Remember there is also the 'tone' of an email, some emails I have gotten were sent gave me some bad vibes, when they really weren't. We always should be careful with emails due to certain tones than may be perceived. If you are friendly & nice, I always am the same way back.

In closing, I want to say thanks to all the customers I have had (except for those baddies & frauds that I have gotten removed from eBay) and every seller I bought something from! I also welcome all the new people & happenings that will happen on eBay in the future. Well at least I used to feel that way:

UPDATE:Well getting close to 8 years now, and I am becoming very disenchanted with selling on here. This year I have had numerous lousy buyers such as ones who can not make simple payments, ones who cant read an easy to read description or neglect to ask me any questions about product information that they need. I have been falsely accused of misleading auctions which clearly isn't the case. I have TONS of positive feedbacks which tell the true story, like over 5000... How hard can it be to make a SIMPLE paypal payment??? All you have to do is pay me and the item is shipped quickly. How transactions continue to be so awful really amazes me. I get buyers who just vanish after they win the auction, I get buyers who complain about shipping fees overseas, which is clearly stated in my auction page, I get all these high maintenance low feedback buyers who don't understand eBay, I get buyers who make local pickups in a royal hassle coming 2 hrs earlier than what they said. Ive gotten some unfair negatives, and there are other transactions that feedback hasn't been left yet which were also just as problematic. I don't sell a whole lot, and yet when I go, I get the worlds worst buyers...but thats not all Even when I buy something, EVEN the seller vanishes(!?!?!), I receive no product and no response to inquiries. I am getting more confident in just using Amazon, spend a little more, but at least you can receive the item & the are easy to contact.

IS ASKING FOR A PROMPT PAYMENT FROM A BUYER WHO READS AUCTION PAGES TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR ?? LOL !! Pay me simply on paypal 1,2,3 and the item will be in your hands !! Its really that easy with me ! Guaranteed !
